I can understand how wine and food better?
In restaurants, it is usually easy to make you just wonder what goes well with food you want and you say, and almost always tastes good. But every time I try to pair food and wine at home, I mess it up horribly and never taste together. By It is usually best to start with a bottle of wine and after a little research online to see what other people have linked to what normally goes with it and then create a dish (or dishes) located outside of those things. Every time food is usually great, and wine is great, but do not go together. I have tried a variety of wines with a lot of couples of different foods, but without much luck. The best I can get is something simple like cheese and wine, but never can get all the food to go. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong and I'm tired of making food that never matches the wine. Any help?
If you have $ 35 to spend (I'm sure it's less in the Amazon), I would suggest buying the book What to drink with what you eat by Andrew Dörnenburg and Karen Page. It gives a lot of theory. What you give is half of a book list of foods that will be told that wine with dinner and half a book on wine lists that tell you which foods go well with them. It is extremely detailed. Since I bought it, was the only thing that I have given as a gift to my friends and everyone loves it. Once you leave the book will help couples to begin to develop a better understanding of their own reason for work, but this way should not have too many bad steps on the road.
